Bancha is the beloved daily tea of Japan, crafted from the later summer and autumn harvest when the leaves are more mature. The result is a smooth, light liquor with gentle lemon tones and a mellow character.
Naturally rich in antioxidants, Bancha supports digestion and overall wellness, making it both restorative and grounding. Its light body makes it a perfect everyday tea—hydrating, calming, and gentle on the stomach.
Steep in water at 75–80 °C for 1–2 minutes. This gentle infusion highlights Bancha’s smooth, mellow character with earthy, nutty undertones. Take care not to over-steep, as this can quickly draw out bitterness and overwhelm its smooth character. The leaves can be re-infused 2–3 times, adjusting steeping time to taste.
