SENCHA TEA

One of the most popular teas in Japan, Sencha tea tends to have a refreshing flavour that can be described as vegetal, green, seaweedy or grassy. Deep green, broken needle-like tea leaves create a clear, light-green infusion with sunny yellow undertones.

To brew, pour cooled boiled water (ideally 65-75ºC) over the tea leaves and let them steep for about 1 minute. Do not steep for too long to avoid the bitter taste. Instead, add more tea leaves if you want a stronger flavour.
